EFEKTIFITAS PENGISIAN DAFTAR CHECKLIST OLEH CARE GIVER TERHADAP KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS PARU
Abstract
Pemerintah telah berupaya untuk menekan penyebaran tuberculosis paru (TB) dengan program pencegahan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, namun permasalahan yang muncul yaitu banyak terjadi kasus resistensi terhadap Obat Anti Tuberkulosis (OAT) karena pasien tidak patuh minum obat dan kurangnya pemantauan dari Pengawas Minum Obat (PMO). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk membuktikan adakah pengaruh pengisian daftar checklist oleh care giver terhadap kepatuhan minum obat penderita tuberkulosis. Metode penelitian, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan quasi eksperimen one group pre-test/post-test design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Andalas Kota Padang. Sampel yang dilibatkan pada penelitian ialah 40 orang yang terdiri dari 20 orang penderita TB yang menjalani program pengobatan OAT dan 20 orang care givers. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Kepatuhan pasien terhadap program pengobatan TB dievaluasi dengan kuesioner Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan daftar checklist oleh care giver terhadap kepatuhan penderita TB dalam mengonsumsi OAT. Tenaga kesehatan diharapkan dapat mensosialisikan penggunaan daftar checklist kepada care giver dalam mengawasi penderita TB mengonsumsi OAT. Dengan demikian akan menurunkan kejadian TB Multy Drug Resistant (MDR).
